Tracey Holmes has spent her journalism career focused on global stories where sport intersects with politics, business, culture and news. Her book The Eye of the Dragonfly, offering a 360-degree view of the world through the prism of sport, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2025. Currently she is Industry Professor of Sport and the Media at the University of Queensland’s Office of 2032 Games Engagement, hosts The Sports Ambassadors podcast on Substack, presents the weekly National Hour on ABC Radio National, is Deputy Chair of the Oceania Australia Foundation, a Council Member of Indigenous Football Australia, a member of the IOC Press Committee, a Mentor for the IOC Young Reporters program, and is founder of the Sports Ambassadors Network Australia. Tracey has a Master’s degree in International Sports Science and a Master's in Communications.
