About The Author

Sam Dunning is the director of UK–China Transparency, the UK’s leading research and education organisation focused exclusively on the relationship between the two countries. Alongside running UKCT, Sam is an investigative journalist and researcher whose work has been featured in many British and international publications, including the Financial Times, BBC, Guardian and Sunday Times. He was an associate producer of ‘Secrets and Power: China in the UK’, an award-winning documentary for Channel 4’s Dispatches. Sam also holds associate or honorary roles at the Royal United Services Institute and at City St. Georges, University of London.
