Scribner is a literary imprint of Simon & Schuster with a long and prestigious history in the US where it was the publisher of Henry James, Edith Wharton, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.

 

It was launched in the UK in 2016 and in its first year published two Booker longlistees, The North Water by Ian McGuire and Virginia Reeves’ Work Like any Other, and the bestselling Mothering Sunday by former Booker Prize winner, Graham Swift. 

 

Recent and upcoming titles include international bestseller Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 by Cho Nam-joo, National Book Award-nominated A Burning by Megha Majumdar, Dreamland by Rosa Rankin-Gee, and The Last Chairlift by John Irving.

 

Our backlist authors include Elizabeth Strout, Monique Roffey and Isabel Allende.
