Inspired by the exhibit Sea Dogs! Great Tails of the Sea at Mystic Seaport, What Is a Sea Dog? was written and illustrated by two seafaring storytellers, historian John Jensen and artist/writer Richard J. King. Both have known many real sea dogs.
