About The Book

The CEO and Comedian Playbook for Effective Leadership

Fearless in business and relentless in humor, David Goldring reimagines what it means to lead. By day as a big business CEO and by night as a stand-up comedian, he has learned how to build deep connection and engagement and in Stand-Up and Lead he shares how you can use these valuable lessons.

Like a stand-up comic preparing a routine for an audience of different beliefs, Goldring shares his key pillars to create clarity and trust with your employees and clients and foster collaboration with deeper listening and empathy. Through sharp storytelling and practical “Mic Check” frameworks, he teaches how to deliver your message and your values with both vulnerability and authenticity. Interviews with prominent business leaders and comedians support each lesson and enhance the toolkit to help you boost your confidence, influence with intention, and how to own a room under pressure.

Energize your organization, align your group around a common vision, and tackle the hardest business and leadership challenges today with a splash of humor through the unique and universal techniques found in Stand-Up and Lead.
