My Life in 8 Words

Author Revealed

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Get there. Add to the good.

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. SO, the first question stumps me?

Happiness is different things on different days for me. And perfect happiness might not exist in any case.
Today?  The sun is out, after a long morning of fog. I can hear my dog Adah digging her "sun bath" area in the back yard, which is messily full of plants I love. There is no wind, but the air is moving. I know this because my office fills with the smell of oranges every time it shifts to the west.

All of that together is perfect happiness for me.
For today.

I have been writing like mad AND traveling. Thanks to everyone who made my Spring trips wonderful and FUN. Thanks to Texas Librarians and FL SCBWI members and Wisconsin's Reading Association and all the wonderful independent bookstores who had me in to sign and talk to the lovely people who like my books. I will be teaching writing at an SCBWI conference in Marin, CA in July and a regional writers' conference in San Luis Obispo in September.

A bunch more trips are coming up in the Fall and I will post them here in a couple of months. (DragonCon...YAY!)
